Easter Saturday at Rock Creek

My mother in law called and wanted to get the White family together.  She wanted everyone to get together to have an Easter dinner Saturday at the cabin in Rock Creek.  We arrived about lunch time and the kids immediately wanted to fish and jump on the tramp.  Emma caught a fish right after she started fishing.  Kerri and her kids arrived followed by Jeff and his family.  Lunch was great,  followed by roasting marshmallows.  Kerri suggested roasting the marshmallow Peeps, they were a favorite.  The grandkids dyed Easter eggs and then had an Easter egg hunt.  Nathan, however, missed all of this because he was having a great time fishing.  He caught the biggest fish of the day, a German Brown and a little one.  He was so proud of his catch!!

Easter Morning

This year the Easter Bunny came on Saturday morning instead of Sunday.  We wanted the bunny to be seperate from the spiritual part of Easter.  The kids were able to enjoy their candy and other fun treats before we headed to the cabin.  Then Sunday morning we were able to talk about Christ and what Easter is really about.  The Easter bunny will never come to our house on Sunday again!!

Emma's Late Night

Ellie, Hallie, and Emma

Emma invited her 2 best friends from her class over for a late night.  They headed to the "fort" to explore.  They found animal jaw and back bones.  Then they gave themselves a face mask to rejuvenate their skin(all the stress they have to deal with in 3rd grade).
We had dinner, pizza and root beer.  I'm not sure if I should be worried or grateful but they kept laughing so hard that Emma and Hallie kept spiting the rootbeer out of their noses and mouths.  I don't know if I should be woried that they may never get dates, or asked out on a second date or grateful that they may never get asked out on a date or a second date?
After the entertaining dinner they got comfortable in a little tepee and watched Harry Potter #3 with a fun dip and hot chocolate.  They had a great time!!!

General Conference

Each General Conference weekend (the first weekend in April and October) we have the priviladge of hearing the prophet and general authorities of our church.  As King Benjamin had his people bring their tents to hear his message, we set up tents to hear the prophets message.  As we listen we get treats to make it fun for the kids.  Its so nice to be uplifted and rejuvinated to go into the world filled with the spirit.  Conference is always a new beginning for me.
This year we invited friends of ours, Paul and Ginna Everetson,  over for Sunday lunch and they ended up staying to enjoy conference with us.
Emma went to enjoy conference with the Hyders at the conference center for the Sunday morning session.

Ryan's BFA Show

So we went to Ryan's BFA show.  He made the necklace I wore.  He worked so hard and had so many pieces of art while some of the others had just 6 pieces or so.   We came to Logan and while my mom, dad, and I were at the art show Nick babysat my kids.  They had a blast.

This is a tribute to Allie.  She told me that she would get her dragon to eat me when I told her to do something she didn't want to do.
