Bobby going to Serve in Iraq

Since Bobby left while we were in Utah this is one of the few pictures I have of him.

Below: The Blue Star Flag was designed 1917 by Robert L. Queissner of the 5th Ohio Infantry, who had two sons serving in the military. It has become a widely recognized unofficial symbol of families with a child in military service. Each blue star represents one person serving. A gold star in the place of the blue star represents one person lost while serving

F is for Firemen

For Joy school we went to the Police and the firestation. Our letter was F for firestation and firemen. Even though Police doesn't start with F it is next door to the firestation and the kids love going to see the police station just as much as the firehouse. It was fun and an easy day for me since I was in charge.
The Joy school kids in the jury box.
Taking a picture with our local police.
In the fire truck.
Nathan got to take a picture with Nathan Goodrich. My Nathan thought it was so cool that a fireman had his same name.

Halloween

The Sessions gave out really cool teeth, Nathan LOVED them!
Clarie, Josh, Ellie, Emma, and trick or treating at our front door.
Nathan, Emma, and Rachel trick or treating along Main Street.
Allie saw this bear and wanted to hug it. My other two were scared of it. Allie didn't want to let go when it was time to move on. When we went across the street she tried to get down and head across the street to see this bear again.
I wouldn't buy new costumes this year because I am such a mean mom. So Emma decided to be a beauty queen. She wore this dress for my brother Bob's wedding almost 4 years ago.

Going through the corn maze.
Nathan's favorite part, playing with the equipment.

Nathan Loves Geo Trax Trains

o
Nathan got some geo trax from Kolton. Kolton didn't play with them any more so Kerri gave them to Nathan. For Christmas last year and birthdays he has gotten more. He plays with them all of the time and loves them. If he isn't doing his chores chances are he is playing with his trains.

MRC Sunday October 18

We ate breakfast, got ready and then got off the boat. We took a shuttle back to LAX and flew home. We were tired but we had a great time. After 8 days of being away from our kids we were ready to see them. After we got home we learned that they had been sick all week with the swine flu. Luckily Dusty and I didn't get it. We decided not to wait another 10 years to take another great vacation. Maybe for our 15th anniversary!
