MRC Monday October 12

AT SEA

We woke up and I went to go workout in the gym. We meet Misty and Les for breakfast in the Windjammer Cafe (the buffet). It was so nice not to cook or do any dishes! Afterwards we went up to the sports deck and played mini golf. Les beat us, but it was still pretty close. Afterwards we did a little rock climbing. The boys flew up the rock wall. Misty did great and got to the top but I was a chicken and only made it to the first bell before I decided it was to high for me.

We went to the dining room for lunch and meet a fun couple from California, Ruby and Daniel. Afterwards we decided to relax in the hot tub. Dusty decided to be brave and jump in the pool. The pool water was ocean water and we were south enough for it to be really warm. I ran over and dipped my toe in and as I decided it was to cold for me and began to turn around someone pushed me in. It was so cold and I got salt water in my mouth, YUCK! Dusty pushed me in but then jumped in himself. We swam around for a few minutes but that was enough. He headed back to the room to get ready for 1 of our formal dinners. Dinner was fantastic! Each night we ordered 2 or 3 appetizers, 1 main entree but sometimes 2, and several desserts. The food was amazing! We went to the show that night and then I think we called it a night!

Mexican Riveria Cruise Sunday October 11

LA

We picked Les and Misty and headed to the Salt Lake airport. We took a plane to LAX where we caught a shuttle to our port. We arrived around 2pm. Our ship was the Mariner of the Seas. It was a Royal Carribean ship with 14 stories. We checked in and went to our cabin. It was small but plenty big for sleeping and getting ready. Our course by then we were hungry so we headed for the buffets. There was plenty of food and lots of variety. Afterwards we roamed the ship to see what it had to offer. We freshened up for dinner. The Dinner is worth going on a cruise! It was event each night and the food was fabulous! We tried everything and loved everything! We went to the Welcome Aboard Show and then went to Karaoke.

Emma's Missionary

Nick was called to serve in Detroit, Michigan. He went into the MTC September 30, 2009.
When he was set apart the morning before he left, we went to say good bye. Nathan gave Nick a hug and said good bye. Emma was crying before she hugged him. As we walked outside Nathan started to cry, sobs. We asked him what was the matter and he said," My best buddy is leaving forever." He was so sad. Emma hadn't stopped crying. We drove her to school and I walked her to her class and left her crying. My kids love Nick!Nick with the Mission Pres. and his wife.

Nathan's 1st Week of Joy School

This was Nathan's first day of Joy School. Instead of paying for preschool, me and four other moms get together and take turns teaching. I did it with Emma and she could read before she went to kindergarten. I think Nathan is just as smart, he just doesn't care. He is to busy playing!

Emma's 1st Day of 1st Grade

Emma was so nervous. She was worried about her first day.

Emma with her teacher Mrs. Reary.
After Emma got off the bus I asked her about her day. The first thing that she told me about was lunch. Now that she goes to school all day she get to eat at school. She gave me a detailed list of everything she ate(she was very excited when she was talking to me). Then I asked her about the rest of the day, she told me a few things that they did and then asked to go play. Lunch must have been awesome!
